BLS supports Potsdam in climate protection project

The state capital Potsdam is one of 22 master plan municipalities, that are supported by the Federal Ministry of the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMUB), in the climate protection process. The project is part of the National Climate Protection Initiative. The consorttium of BLS Energieplan GmbH, Potsdam Institut für Klimafolgenforschung (PIK), Innovationszentrum für Mobilität und gesellschaftlichen Wandel (InnoZ) GmbH, Luftbild Umwelt Planung GmbH and Ad modum Agentur für Kommunikation GmbH is assigned with the expert report acompanying this project.

The goal is to reduce the greenhouse gas emission by 95 % and the need of end energy by 50 % compared to the year 1990 by the end of 2050.
